Virtual 1:1 Adolescent Mentor in Gaming/ Game Development
Are you passionate about providing inclusive game design education to adolescents to help with their self esteem and reduce isolation. Do. you care about helping kids get through their mental health struggles?
Our focus is to provide social and emotional support, as well as technical or design training to neurodiverse kids who may be unable to access traditional school environments due to social or emotional difficulties. As a mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our young people in virtual 1:1 sessions.
We are looking for caring, nurturing, and therapeutic mentors who are avid gamers with experience in multiplayer games such as Roblox, Minecraft, and others. Also with some technical or design experience from any aspect of game design or development or digital art.
It would be beneficial if you have completed formal training in safeguarding, online safety, child protection, mental health issues, suicide prevention, ASD, and PDA. If any aspects of this training are missing, we will provide them for you.
At Game Changers, we provide substantial ongoing training to our mentors due to our ongoing funding. We value the personal and professional development of our team and believe that continuous learning and growth are essential for success in this field.
